Job Description:

Primary Purpose of Role:

The Manager, Operations is responsible for multiple lines and departments within Plant Operations. The Manager directly oversees one or more salaried supervisors with indirect management over a large group of hourly employees. The Manager is accountable for all production processes to be adhered to and continuously improve the performance in area of scope.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the selection, training, and development of new employees.
  • Coach, develop, and support team members
  • Manages personnel, material, and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Meets production cost, schedules, and quality requirements through the utilization of established manufacturing processes and methods.
  • Facilitates floor operations and removes barriers for supervisors and hourly employees to meet measurable objectives.
  • Implements and maintains Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
  • Operator Autonomous Maintenance execution, follow up and improvement.
  • Engagement on machine condition continuous improvement
  • Lead OEE improvement across all areas
  • Serve as a leader, trainer, and coach of lean and TPM principles.
  • Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
  • Complies with the terms of the labor agreement.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate Degree and/or equivalent experience required

Experience:

  • 3+ years prior Supervisory experience in manufacturing setting

  • 5+ years prior Supervisory experience in manufacturing setting
