Description:

ThermAvant Technologies is seeking a full-time Manufacturing "Braze" Technician to join our growing Braze department. As a key member of our team, you will help develop and enhance our braze process and play an essential role in processing production parts through braze ovens. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, instrument, and load parts into fixtures and braze ovens based on the provided production schedule.
  • Perform quality checks during the braze process, including part dimensions, cleanliness, fit-up, and braze quality.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on braze ovens and associated equipment.
  • Identify process trends and nonconformities, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in preparing metallurgical samples from the brazing process for analysis.
  • Help achieve and maintain certifications and qualifications for all equipment and processes.
  • Contribute to the establishment and preservation of documented procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of brazing specifications relevant to the job function.
  • Ensure attention to detail and quality while meeting production deadlines.
  • Promote and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Participate in inspections, audits, and the resolution of non-conformities.
  • Properly use shop tools, hand tools, and equipment required for brazing operations.
  • Collaborate with others to maintain a positive and efficient team environment.
  • Complete additional tasks as required or requested.
Requirements:
  • Able to pass a background check
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems such as AS9100 and ISO 9001:2008 a plus.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (Word, Excel, email) and strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to handle heavy materials (>50 lbs) when necessary.
  • Experience with material handling equipment (overhead cranes, tow-motors, pallet jacks) is a plus.
  • Experience with high-temperature ovens, brazing ovens, or clean room environments is a plus.

Special Working Conditions/Job Characteristics:

  • Full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday through Friday).
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Experience with CNC machines, programming, or high-temperature ovens (e.g., braze or autoclave) is a plus.
