nVent's Data Center Solutions category is helping shape the future of AI and high-performance computing infrastructure. We are seeking a Sr Manager, Manufacturing Engineering to lead a multi-layer engineering organization supporting our growing liquid cooling portfolio, including coolant distribution units (CDUs) and manifolds.

This role develops engineering leaders, guides manufacturing strategy, and ensures the organization is positioned to support continued growth and operational excellence. Working closely with Operations, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, and NPI teams, you will help shape how manufacturing engineering supports nVent's next phase of growth.

** You will work onsite, 5 days/week, in Anoka, MN. Relocation assistance may be available. **


WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineering Managers, strengthening leadership capability and engineering effectiveness across multiple product areas.
  • Establish priorities and deploy engineering resources to support business needs, production demands, and growth initiatives.
  • Define and advance manufacturing operations strategy, aligning engineering efforts with operational objectives, capital investments, and long-term business priorities.
  • Partner with New Product Introduction (NPI), Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure manufacturing readiness and smooth transitions into production.
  • Drive improvements in safety, quality, first-pass yield, productivity, and equipment performance through engineering-led initiatives, standardization, and process enhancements.
  • Partner with operations leaders to strengthen manufacturing capability through automation, equipment investments, and process improvements.
  • Establish engineering standards and operating processes that improve consistency, accountability, and project execution across teams.
  • Evaluate organizational structure and resource needs to ensure the manufacturing engineering organization remains aligned with business demands.


YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Ideally 10+ years of manufacturing, industrial, operations, or related engineering experience, including 5+ years of engineering leadership experience.
  • Ability to lead multi-level organizations, including managers and other people leaders, and achieve business objectives through empowered teams.
  • Experience leading engineering teams within a complex manufacturing environment supporting growth, product launches, automation initiatives, capital projects, or operational expansion.
  • Experience working across multiple functional areas to improve manufacturing performance, production readiness, and operational scalability.
  • Ability to balance short-term operational needs with long-term organizational and manufacturing strategy.
  • Experience in HVAC, industrial equipment, heavy manufacturing, capital equipment, automotive, or similarly dynamic manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:

$123,500.00 - $229,500.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
