Job description

Job Purpose:
GCX Healthcare Solutions has an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager in our El Paso, TX location. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is a real hands-on and key contributor that leads the Manufacturing Engineering team to support the site operations by providing continuous improvement. strategies on existing and new product lines through New Product Development, New Product Implementation, and production readiness processes. Areas of Maintenance, GCXPS (GCX Production System), process design and value stream, ergonomics, capacity, simulation tools, investment, cost analysis and performance.

Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Lead new product introductions (NPI), product transfers, and engineering changes, ensuring successful site launch and production readiness.
  • Manage cross-functional projects (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, safety) including planning, scheduling, and progress tracking.
  • Design and optimize production layouts, process flows, and manufacturability (DFM) in collaboration with design teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma, including process upgrades for safety, efficiency, ergonomics, and automation.
  • Support operational excellence initiatives and analyze manufacturing performance to meet site KPIs.
  • Oversee tooling, process validation, and manufacturing readiness while ensuring alignment with project scope and requirements.
  • Build strong partnerships across departments and actively engage on the production floor (Gemba) to identify and implement improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or related disciple. Green Belt or Black Belt preferred!
  • 5+ years driving lean manufacturing and continue improvement concepts, through use of Value Stream Maps, Kaizens, Six Sigma, and other CI tools.
  • 5+ years of direct supervisory experience leading a team of manufacturing engineers, in an ISO 13485 manufacturing environment preferred.
  • 7+ years Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Management experience
  • 5+ years of related experience in Project Management, New Product Development and New Product Introduction
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills using fundamental engineering and lean concepts. 
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, must be hands-on manufacturing.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily.
  • Experience with environmental health and safety inspections, evaluating the environment, equipment, processes in the work areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Experience and understanding of automation, tight tolerance machining and assembly processes.
