Job description

Overview Job Duties

  • Work with manufacturing team providing leadership, technical support, and guidance to successfully improve manufacturing processes using LEAN methodology through the implementation of creativity, engineering initiatives and proven manufacturing methods.
  • Interpret manufacturing requirements, identify, and address design parameters, and ensure manufacturing solutions are implemented accurately, timely and in budget.
  • Using the project life cycle develop project requirements and design specifications from production and customer requirements start to finish.
  • Identify solutions to improve production efficiency, increase profit margins and improve quality.
  • Have experience and enjoy working around equipment such as presses, mixers, CNC grind equipment, lathes; must enjoy working with your hands - this is not a desk job.
  • Use of design software to develop models and drawings of new tooling and reverse engineering of existing tooling (SolidWorks proficiency required)
  • Maintain existing engineering records and designs following ISO requirements.
  • Understanding of basic Chemical Engineering concepts.
  • Assess the manufacturability of prototypes to determine issues and risks working with design engineering to developing a business model for manufacturing.
  • Estimate cost limits and budgets for new designs; seek cost effective solutions and multiple quotes to implement the best solution.
  • Work with vendors and production to develop, enhance or maintain the manufacturing process of all products in the facility.
  • Effective communication and coordination with other engineers, materials, quality, product design and management groups.
  • Work alongside operators to ensure the quality of product generated from the production floor.
  • Understand and develop project requirements and design specifications from project management, customers and production personnel.
  • Present and reviews product implementation progress to senior management to sell ideas and obtain capital for projects.
  • Ensure all relevant OSHA safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all work completed.

  • Full Time - Onsite 
  • Minimum Education:  Bachelor’s Degree - Mechanical Engineering from an accredited school. Chemical Engineering interest and experience is a plus

  • 12 - 15 years' experienceÂ
