Manufacturing Engineer Job Summary

Bedrock Truck Beds is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement, and sustain lean manufacturing processes supporting fabrication, welding, paint, assembly, and shipping operations. The Manufacturing Engineer will improve value streams, launch new products into production, optimize equipment, and partner with cross-functional teams to increase safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.


Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities

· Develop and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and process controls.

· Partner with Design Engineering to ensure products are designed for manufacturability.

· Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

· Drive lean initiatives including Standard Work, SMED, 6S, TPM, Kaizen, and Visual Factory.

· Support equipment selection, installation, programming, and startup.

· Optimize automated equipment including lasers, press brakes, robotic welding, and tube cutting systems.

· Support ERP bill of material accuracy and production readiness.

· Travel up to 25% as needed.

· All other duties as assigned by management.


Manufacturing Engineer Skills and Competencies

· Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

· Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and value stream improvement.

· CAM/CAD and ERP experience preferred.

· Ability to prioritize multiple projects and collaborate across departments.

· Mechanical aptitude and continuous improvement mindset.


Manufacturing Engineer Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred.

· 1+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
