Job description

Job Title: Compounder – 3rd Shift

Location: Lakeland, FL

Come join our team as a Compounding Technician at our Citrus Center of Excellence at dsm-firmenich. Here, you will work with the best ingredients on the planet making over 900 flavors and scents. Come join the team and feel empowered knowing you are contributing to lives of many across the planet! The operating hours are Sunday to Thursday from 11:00pm to 7:30am (Friday morning).

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Operate drum filling machine, centrifuge, cross site bulk transfers, DeltaV, department pumps, filters and scales.

• Accurately read blending instructions and blend chemicals in a precise manner to create flavor or fragrance product.

• Operate department pumps, filters, scales and computer systems in order to accurately and properly blend chemicals in at precise manner to create flavor product.

• Ability to issue material and resolve SAP related issues associated with transfer orders, inventory discrepancies and material losses.

• Utilize a computer to obtain detailed formula information and availability of raw materials, post batches, check inventory and print labels.

• Ensure understanding of all safety, quality and operational procedures, in order to utilize tools, equipment, electronic/computer systems in compounding and container filling.

You Bring:

• High School Diploma / GED preferred and prior experience handling chemicals.

• Minimum 1-3 years of packing and compounding experience and understanding of special formula instructions.

• Knowledge of GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).

• Forklift experience and ability to be on your feet up to 90% of the day.

• Ability to lift a 35lb product hose; frequently move, lift, pull & push up to 50lbs.

• Ability to work in a facility with minimal temperature control, exposed to local temperature variations (hot & cold).

The hourly pay rate provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. The hourly pay rate is $22.00 to $26.00.

In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits. All benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements.
