POSITION SUMMARY: 
 
The General Warehouse Associate at Devon Industries works closely with other warehouse employees including but not limited to Tech I, II, III, Supervisors, and Managers. The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for ensuring proper placement and sorting of materials required for order picking such as product boxes and other necessary hardware kits, to prepare the product for shipping. Experience in warehouse assembly, shipping & receiving is a plus. This entry-level role provides an excellent opportunity for growth within the production sector of the warehouse.  
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 
 
  • Inspect materials and sort items or materials into piles or places in a container according to type, size, and condition.
  • Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity to sort all quick lube hardware kits.
  • Responsible for performing individual day-to-day job assignments under normal supervision after competence has been demonstrated
  • Required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to 75 pounds for part of the workday
  • Required to be exposed to a physical environment that involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements in a warehouse environment.
  • Stack boxes and skids. Dump boxes and totes of material.
  • Keep the surrounding work area clean.
  • Follow appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) as a guideline for operating and maintaining equipment.
  • Report any worker-public safety factors and/or equipment malfunctions.
  • Attend weekly/monthly safety/operations meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Must be flexible to work alone or around others.
