Job description

The Manufacturing Associate collaborates directly with the team coordinator and department manager to produce qualify processes that meets or exceeds IPC standards. This position is key to company quality standards.

What you’ll do:

  • Place electronic components into printed circuit board following detailed instruction.
  • Inspect and quality check own work and the work of others
  • Ensure that products meet all customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate quality issues to the appropriate team and manager as needed.
  • Contribute to a positive team working environment and maintain a clean and organized area.
  • Assist in other departments as needed and participate in controlled process improvement projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need:

  • Displays a high-level critical thinking, analysis, and organization.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit and a “hands on” mentality.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficient communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Solid understanding of common manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and basic electronic component identification and board handling (PCBA).
  • Effectively manipulate small and/or fragile components and tools.
  • Ability to use visual aids, complicated drawings to verify quality products.
  • Communicate in person, over the phone, email, internet or in writing in a positive, professional manner.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production (daily and weekly).
  • Normal color vision

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with pre wave processing
  • IPC 610 certification

While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses production equipment. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision.
