JOB OPENING


The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for supporting operations through production planning, material planning, and ERP system management. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining production jobs within the Epicor ERP system, ensuring materials are available to support production schedules, and coordinating manufacturing priorities to meet customer delivery commitments. 


This position will work closely with the Senior Production Control Supervisor and cross-functional teams throughout Operations, to coordinate schedules, manage material requirements, support engineering changes, and resolve production constraints in a fast-paced, high-technology electronics manufacturing environment. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create, release, and maintain manufacturing jobs within the Epicor ERP system. 
  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand and the Master Production Schedule. 
  • Evaluate material requirements using ERP/MRP tools to support production while maintaining optimal inventory levels. 
  • Coordinate with Purchasing regarding material availability and supplier delivery impacts on production schedules. 
  • Maintain accurate ERP planning data, including Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, planning parameters, and job records. 
  • Review production progress and recommend schedule adjustments to improve on-time delivery and manufacturing efficiency. 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning, scheduling, ERP processes, and manufacturing operations


Requirements:

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION


Required job skills, experience and education include: 

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across all operational departments
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, MRP, and inventory planning
  • Experience interpreting Bills of Material (BOMs), manufacturing routings, and engineering documentation
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Minimum of two years of experience in production planning, materials planning, manufacturing operations, or supply chain planning, within an electronics, RF, aerospace, defense, or other high-technology manufacturing industry
  • Experience using MRP systems to create, release, and manage manufacturing jobs 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be eligible to work on Federal contracts requiring U.S. Citizenship


Preferred job skills, experience and education include: 

  • Epicor ERP experience
  • Associate’s degree, or higher, in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume electronics manufacturing
  • Experience supporting Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and New Product Introduction (NPI). 
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
