Job Description Summary
Dauch is searching for a Facilities Manager - Manufacturing Engineering to join our team. This position will be based out of our St. Mary's, PA location.
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the manufacturing engineering and safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager and, as such, is a member of the Plant Leadership Team.
Job Description:
  • Participate in objective setting, plan development and performance review of plant performance.
  • Initiate, implement, and manage the plant maintenance program based on best practices in the industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
  • Monitor the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.
  • Maintain and repair maintenance shop equipment.
  • Establish and maintain a computerized maintenance system for tracking work orders and maintenance history of plant equipment.
  • Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
  • Maintain and update operating and training manuals for the maintenance department.
  • Ensure that all maintenance technicians are trained on the most updated versions of various operating procedures.
  • Review and maintain the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
  • Track, analyze, and improve key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
  • Maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Manage all major maintenance projects, capital projects, and all improvements or repairs to the facilities.
  • Direct, maintain, and enforce the safety program for the maintenance department.
  • Communicate directly with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3+ years progressive leadership experience.
  • 3+ years project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
