Job Summary

This role is responsible for expertly winding coils used in one-phase and three-phase dry type transformers. This hands-on role requires precision, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. You'll contribute directly to ERMCO's mission by ensuring each unit meets our rigorous standards and reflects our core values. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Understand and carry out detailed written and verbal instructions with regards to the operation of winding coils.
  • Ensure safe and proper start-up, operation, and shutdown of equipment. 
  • Repeatedly lift/move material that is 50+ lbs. with or without assistance from lifting devices.
  • Handle material, use hand/power tools, use a torch during soldering operations.
  • Ensure conformity of coils to ERMCO standards.
  • Follow all ERMCO safety policies and procedures. 
Qualifications

Necessary Qualifications 

  • Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed written and verbal instructions effectively  
  • Proficiency in using iPads and other electronic communication devices  
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with an emphasis on open communication  
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail  
  • Competence in basic math functions: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across various units  
  • Knowledge and application of proper lifting techniques  
  • Manual dexterity to grasp, reach, and handle diverse tools, materials, and components  
  • Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers (both digital and manual)  
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools including cordless drills, air ratchets, wrenches, pliers, and hammers  
  • Ability to operate overhead hoists and lift-assist equipment safely  
  • Physical capability to lift/push over 50 lbs. and pull up to 75 lbs.  
  • Ability to stand and walk frequently, with occasional sitting, stooping, reaching, or kneeling  
  • Visual acuity of 20/40 (with or without corrective lenses), normal peripheral vision at least 70 degrees, depth perception, and focus adjustment  
  • Adherence to all plant safety policies, procedures, and department-specific safety rules  
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety toe shoes, safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, weld hood, and hearing protection

  • 3 Years of Consistent work history 
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience
