Assistant Plant Controller | Manufacturing
Modesto, CA
I’m excited to partner with a long-time client and global leader in sustainable packaging manufacturing on a Plant Controller opportunity in Modesto, CA.
This is a well-established organization with a strong presence in the packaging industry, providing innovative plastic packaging solutions to major brands across a variety of consumer and industrial markets.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on, mid-level plant finance role working closely with the Plant Manager and HR leadership. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong SAP skills, and enjoy partnering with Operations to understand the financial impact of day-to-day plant performance.
What You'll Do

  • Manage monthly close and plant financial reporting

  • Analyze manufacturing costs and variances

  • Support budgeting and forecasting

  • Partner with Operations on cost-saving initiatives

  • Monitor inventory and standard costs

  • Support capital projects, fixed assets and financial controls

  • Provide financial insight to plant leadership


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field

  • Manufacturing plant experience

  • SAP experience is required

  • Experience with month-end close, budgeting/forecasting and variance analysis

  • Understanding of inventory and standard costing

  • Strong analytical and Excel skills


Manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
