Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a manufacturing organization on a contract basis. This onsite opportunity is suited for an accounting specialist who can manage core accounting activities, support a timely close process, and maintain accurate financial records in a fast-moving environment. The role offers the chance to contribute across key accounting functions while working closely with financial data, reporting needs, and day-to-day operational priorities.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate general ledger activity and period-end reporting.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances to ensure financial records are complete and reliable.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation tracking.
• Account for intercompany transactions and confirm balances are properly recorded across entities.
• Assist with month-end close activities by organizing supporting schedules and meeting reporting deadlines.
• Contribute to financial reporting by compiling data, reviewing account activity, and supporting accuracy in submitted results.
• Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Excel tools such as pivot tables to analyze transactions and maintain accounting data integrity.• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including senior-level general ledger responsibilities.
• Background in manufacturing accounting is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and intercompany accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables for analysis and reporting.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in an onsite contract role within a fast-paced business setting.
