Molding Maintenance Technician - PS102125
 
Pay: $25 - $36/hr + benefits
Industry: Plastic Injection Molding 
Schedule: Full-Time | 1st shift
 
We’re looking for a highly skilled Molding Maintenance Technician to join a stable and well-established leader in the plastic injection molding industry. This role is critical to ensuring the efficiency, consistency, and quality of our high-volume production operations.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Set up, fine-tune, and maintain injection molding processes to meet production and quality targets.
  • Optimize molding parameters for cycle time, part quality, and material usage.
  • Troubleshoot process-related issues including flash, short shots, warping, and other defects.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to support mold trials, startups, and shutdowns.
  • Document process changes, setups, and performance metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices and safety protocols.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience servicing and maintaining injection molding equipment within a manufacturing setting
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Skilled in interpreting blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Competent in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments
  • Familiarity with basic computer applications; experience using CMMS or similar maintenance tracking software is a plus
