RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the EMS to ensure meeting all regulatory compliance and pollution prevention.
  • Work with operations to obtain a PTW, perform any LOTO activities as per company, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform routine service and repairs on all E&I equipment at this facility.
  • Able to attend work as scheduled, and able to work overtime and respond to emergency call-ins.
  • Be able to drive forklifts and other related plant equipment preferably.
  • Make recommendations for service and equipment upgrades.
  • Operate all types of measuring and testing equipment required.
  • Read electrical drawings and update them when required.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs and understand and work with ladder logic.
  • Keep work areas clean and orderly.
  • Participate in project work as time permits.
  • Sometimes assist other trade technicians with non-technical tasks where possible and be able to do some building maintenance tasks as well.
  • Assist in developing PMs for electrical equipment, and continuous improvement after
  • Assist in any maintenance parts ordering and documentation development and maintenance.
  • Use SAP or any CMMS software as required for work tracking and/or maintenance work.
  • Assist with any RCA
  • Broad knowledge of E&I maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Understand the theory and mechanics of the various pieces of equipment at the facility.
  • *Ability to use a personal computer, demonstrate a good understanding of shop math, travel on commercial airlines, attend training sessions, communicate on the phone, read and comprehend written drawings, manuals, and catalogs.

Qualification:

  • Red Seal Journeyman Electrician
  • Min 3-5 years of practical experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Be able to climb stairs and ladders.

    * Be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.

    * Be able to properly wear all required safety equipment including hard hats, hearing protection, eye protection, safety shoes and other safety equipment required by the immediate supervisor.

    * Be able to qualify confined space, respirator, and any other special qualifications required.

    * Be able to manage contractors from time to time and assist them as required.
