Job description

Position Summary
The Software Developer / Senior Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications while collaborating closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and fellow engineers.
This position requires 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong expertise in at least one modern programming language, ideally C#/.NET, as well as relational database design, API development, cloud technologies, and software engineering best practices. The successful candidate should utilize AI development tools, such as Claude Code, to assist in the software development process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Software Development & Architecture
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise software applications using modern C# and .NET (8+).
  • Build RESTful APIs and backend services supporting web, desktop, and system integrations.
  • Develop data access layers using Entity Framework and LINQ.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
  • Write clean, well-documented, testable, and maintainable code.

Database Development & Optimization
  • Design and optimize Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases, including stored procedures, indexing strategies, and query optimization.

Quality, Troubleshooting & Code Review
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement reliable, maintainable solutions.
  • Perform peer code reviews and mentor other developers when and where appropriate.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Collaboration & Development Operations
  • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in Agile planning, sprint reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with application deployments, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency with C# 8.0 or later or Java.
  • Experience with modern .NET development (.NET 6/7/8 or .NET Framework where applicable).
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented design principles and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).

  • Experience with Git and collaborative source control workflows.
