Software Engineer
The Opportunity:
Booz Allen is looking for a Software Engineer who is driven by purpose and ready to build software that directly supports mission-critical operations across the space domain. In this role, you'll design, develop, and enhance the software developed for ground systems and the real-time capabilities that space missions rely on. You'll take ownership of complex engineering challenges from modernizing legacy components to architecting new mission-focused capabilities that improve performance, resilience, and operational speed. You Have:

• 3+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications
• Experience with basic programming languages such as Python or Java, or web development stacks such as Vue or Node
• Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, or software products
• Experience working within a cloud environment such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
• Experience building RESTful APIs
• Ability to use back-end and front-end languages to develop complete solutions
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field

Nice If You Have:

• Experience operating within an Agile environment
• Experience with Linux-based systems, containers, and orchestration tools, including Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications
• Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
• Experience with C#, C, C++, JavaScript, or React
• Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
• Master's degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
