The Opportunity:
Join our team supporting USTRANSCOM's Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS), a mission-critical enterprise platform that modernizes transportation, logistics, and financial operations through SAP S/4HANA ERP integration. We're looking for an accomplished Software Test Engineer to execute hands-on manual testing with the potential for limited test automation for this large-scale SAP implementation. Your expertise in test execution and SAP testing frameworks will be essential to ensuring system reliability and performance. In this role, you'll partner with cross-functional teams-including developers, business analysts, and product owners-to deliver robust, scalable SAP solutions.
Responsibilities:
  • Requirements Analysis: Review user stories and functional requirements to identify test scenarios, edge cases, acceptance criteria and other testing requirements
  • Test Development: Design, build, and maintain test scripts for SAP Fiori, Mendix applications, workflows, and integrations
  • Comprehensive Testing: Execute functional testing across JTMS modules and customizations at the Agile team level within a SAFe Agile framework
  • Defect Management: Document defects with detailed reproduction steps, track issues to resolution, and communicate findings effectively to development teams
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and maximize test coverage
  • Test Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, test data sets, and traceability matrices aligned with SAFe Agile practices
  • Agile Participation: Actively engage in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, tools, and quality assurance practices

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance (required)
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in manual software testing of large-scale ERP systems
  • SAP Expertise: Proven hands-on testing experience of SAP S/4HANA applications, including workflows and integrations
  • Agile Methodology: Strong working knowledge of SAFe Framework, SDLC, and Agile development practices
  • Core Competencies: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, Strong written and verbal communication skills, Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments

Desired:
  • Test automation experience, preferably with Tricentis TOSCA and/or UiPath
  • Certifications: ISTQB or similar testing certification
  • Technical Skills: Experience with ServiceNow CWM (Collaborative Work Management) for Agile test management and defect tracking
  • DevSecOps Knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, and DevSecOps best practices
  • Government Experience: Previous experience supporting federal agencies or Department of Defense clients
