Manual Tester Remote Blu Omega is seeking a Manual Tester to support a federal program focused on veteran benefits. This role operates within a remote environment and is responsible for executing manual testing activities to ensure software quality and functionality. The position requires experience supporting software testing within regulated environments. Program Overview Blu Omega supports federal agencies in delivering mission-critical technology solutions to improve public services and operational efficiency. Key Details Location: Remote Clearance: Public Trust Eligible Responsibilities * Review requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and design documentation to understand expected system behavior and testing needs. * Develop and execute manual test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on functional and business requirements. * Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT). * Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms. * Validate defect fixes through retesting and regression testing to ensure issues are resolved prior to release. * Collaborate with developers, QA teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues. * Maintain clear and accurate documentation of testing activities, results, defects, and resolution status. * Support continuous improvement of testing processes, documentation, and quality standards. * Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate effectively across cross-functional delivery teams. Preferred Qualifications * Experience supporting federal government programs or regulated environments. * Familiarity with Jira and Confluence. * Basic understanding of APIs, web services, databases, and backend systems. * Exposure to test automation concepts, frameworks, or tools. * Experience with usability and accessibility testing, including Section 508 or WCAG standards.
