Job description

We are seeking a Software Test Engineer in our Broomfield, CO location. The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for developing test plans and test scripts using the Robot Framework and writing Python scripts for automated testing. The Software Test Engineer must have a thorough understanding of the test development lifecycle and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure that software products meet the required quality standards.

All employees should work at their assigned location; however, this role may offer the opportunity to work remotely up to 2 days per week, with approval.
All applicants for placement in safety-sensitive positions will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop test plans in Confluence and test cases using the Robot Framework.
  • Develop automated testing infrastructure using Python or other related languages.
  • Identify and fix issues when feasible. For larger problems, coordinate with the Dev team and verify the fix.
  • Collaborate with developers, systems engineers, and project managers to understand requirements and ensure that software products meet requested acceptance criteria.
  • Perform manual and automated testing, as well as regression testing and stress testing to identify defects and ensure software quality.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure that testability, scalability, and quality are built into the software development process.
  • Continuously improve testing and software processes, tools, and methodologies

YOU MUST HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree minimum
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in software testing and test automation
  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status.
  • Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.

  • Experience using modern cloud development tools for container orchestration, such as GCP, in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure
  • Strong experience with the Robot Framework and Python automation.
  • Understanding of software testing methodologies and the test development lifecycle
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices
  • Ability to independently research and self-teach technical skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, Git environment, Linux OS, PostgreSQL, Redis, InfluxDB, and Elasticsearch

Compensation & Benefits:
