Job description

Responsibilities
Brasfield & Gorrie is currently accepting applications for Concrete Foreman (Finisher Foreman).
We are seeking an experienced Concrete Finishing Foreman to lead and oversee concrete finishing operations on large-scale commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing crews, coordinating daily field activities, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
This position requires extensive travel throughout Charlotte, Raleigh, Greenville, and other lcoations across the Carolinas.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead concrete finishing crews on commercial construction projects.
  • Coordinate daily work activities, manpower, equipment, and materials to maintain project schedules.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project plans.
  • Oversee all phases of concrete placement, consolidation, screeding, floating, edging, jointing, finishing, curing, and protection.
  • Supervise placement of foundations, slab-on-grade, elevated decks, equipment pads, housekeeping pads, sidewalks, curbs, and structural concrete.
  • Ensure proper setup and use of laser screeds, ride-on trowels, walk-behind trowels, vibrators, power screeds, and finishing equipment.
  • Monitor concrete consistency, slump, weather conditions, and finishing schedules to ensure optimal results.

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in concrete finishing, with supervisory or foreman experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete placement, finishing techniques, formwork, and curing practices.
  • Experience working on large-scale Data Center, Healthcare, Industrial, or Commercial Construction projects is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and project specifications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
