MaxHealth is looking to hire a full-time Medical Assistant/Front Office Float to work between our Sarasota and Manatee County clinics to oversee patient care, prepare patients' rooms, assist physicians with exams, and perform front desk tasks. Candidates must have some phlebotomy experience to be considered for this position.

The position will provider coverage to clinics throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties.

Starting Salary - $20.00 an hour.

Normal hours of operation are Monday- Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEDICAL ASSISTANT

As a Medical Assistant, you are directly involved in ensuring that we deliver focused and empathetic patient care at all times. As a true people person, you thrive in this environment as you greet patients warmly and triage them upon arrival. You prepare them to see the physician by preparing examination and procedure rooms, obtaining their histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements. As needed, you perform some administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and procedures for patients as well as managing the necessary documents such as pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results. While maintaining a calming presence for our patients, you also assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MEDICAL ASSISTANT

  • 1+ years of experience as an MA
  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Computer literacy (experience using EMR/EHR)
  • Computer proficient
