The Communications and Business Development team is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented intern to support marketing, communications, and business development initiatives. This collaborative role offers exposure to several areas of the department, including HubSpot, email campaigns, data analysis, content development, and creative projects. The intern will work closely with team members, contribute fresh ideas, and gain hands-on experience supporting projects from planning through completion.

Job Summary:

The Marketing Data Management Intern will assist with maintaining accurate data, coordinating marketing communications, tracking engagement, and supporting team projects. Through this experience, the intern will strengthen their communication, data analysis, project coordination, and digital marketing skills while gaining exposure to business development and the financial services industry.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Business Development & HubSpot Support

  • Maintain HubSpot data hygiene, including updating email addresses and reconciling records for prospective clients across Hubspot
  • Review and organize leads generated through webinars, landing pages, social media, and marketing campaigns
  • Assist with bulk mailings and logistics for client recruitment and business development campaigns
  • Generate insights from webinars, social media, and marketing campaigns to inform recruiting strategies
  • Research prospective firms and categorize leads by status and persona to support targeted marketing and business development efforts

Communications & Analytics Support

  • Maintain HubSpot distribution lists, audience segments, and contact information for client communications and marketing campaigns
  • Track engagement metrics and assist with surveys, reporting, and data analysis
  • Update employee bios and proofread communications for accuracy, brand consistency, and required compliance approval

Creative Marketing Hub Support

  • Assist with coordinating email marketing campaigns and other creative requests for clients
  • Collaborate with internal team members and external creative partners on graphic design and video projects

Related Qualities:

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

  • Availability to work onsite in Akron, OH:
    • 16–24 hours per week during spring and fall semesters
    • 30–40 hours per week during summer months

Pay: $20 per hour
