Director of Sales – Strategic Markets

Lead a Growing Strategic Sales Segment

MITY Inc. is seeking an experienced, results-driven Director of Sales – Strategic Markets to lead our inside sales team supporting the Government, Senior Living, Healthcare, and Office Furniture markets. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing sales talent, strengthening dealer and channel partnerships, and improving sales execution across a strategic business segment representing approximately $25 million in annual bookings. This is a full-time, in-office leadership position based at MITY’s headquarters in Orem, Utah.

What You’ll Lead and Influence

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Inside Sales Account Managers.
  • Set clear expectations around sales activity, pipeline management, forecasting, accountability, and revenue goals.
  • Drive new business development, account growth, and profitability across strategic markets.
  • Support major account opportunities, complex projects, and key customer relationships.
  • Expand and strengthen relationships with Office Furniture Dealers, Government agencies, Healthcare organizations, and Senior Living partners to drive sustainable revenue growth and increase market penetration.
  • Partner with marketing on targeted campaigns, lead generation, dealer programs, and sales tools.
  • Improve CRM adoption, sales process consistency, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline visibility.
  • Use sales data, market trends, and customer insights to identify opportunities and guide decisions.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams on sales objectives, budgets, forecasts, pricing, market expansion, and long-term growth initiatives.
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, customer service, continuous improvement, teamwork, and talent development.

What Will Help You Succeed

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of successful sales leadership experience, including experience leading sales teams, coaching sales professionals, managing performance, and driving revenue growth. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience will also be considered.

Experience in Office Furniture, Government, Healthcare, Senior Living, Contract Furniture, dealer/distributor channels, public procurement, cooperative purchasing contracts, GSA or State contracts, and consultative sales environments is highly preferred.
