Logistics Analyst

LOCATION: Huntsville, AL

JOB STATUS: Full-time

CLEARANCE: Secret

TRAVEL: As Needed

Astrion is seeking a Logistics Analyst to support Acquisition Executive (PAE) FIRES, Program Manager Advanced C-UAS Effects (PM ACE), Program Directorate Counter -Unmanned Aircraft Systems (PD C-UAS) in Huntsville, Alabama

This individual shall support the Director, Logistics Management Division as well as their peers and teammates in a demanding, fast-paced workplace. New strategic initiatives and logistics challenges are a matter of routine here, and so this individual -if experienced- shall apply their expertise to resolving issues, developing/recommending courses of action to support successful initiation, mitigation, and engagement in those scenarios. The daily posture of the candidate is one of patience and flexibility while able to execute tasks with minimal supervision, remembering every action is potentially a Warfighter saved.

  • Type Classification, Materiel Release
  • Core Logistics Analysis (CLA)
  • Depot Source of Repair Analysis
  • Materiel Fielding Plans
  • Spend Plans
  • Manpower Analysis
  • Catalog Ordering Logistic Tracking System (COLTS)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • 5-10 years of project management experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess or be eligible for active DoD security clearance with current investigation at the SECRET level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree and/or 10 years in Logistics, Security Planning
  • Catalog Ordering Logistic Tracking System (COLTS) experience/certification
  • Knowledge of the Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE) or financial process
  • Experience (as opposed to knowledge) developing a full system sustainment plan.
  • Demonstrated capability for managing an ACAT I-III Acquisition Logistics Program through MS B & C.
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition programs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, developing quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.).
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Program Management certification and/or PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired
  • Minimum of four years developing, directing, and supervising Logistics processes within an Army Program Management Office.
  • Must have strong experience supporting resource management through coordination of financial information, budget requirements (including Sustainment System Technical Support (SSTS), Post Production Software Support (PPSS) and Depot Maintenance funding)
