Job description

Managing Director In Institutional Fixed Income Sales

The Managing Director in Institutional Fixed Income Sales is responsible for Fixed Income client coverage across the broader Taxable Fixed Income platform with a primary focus on Agency CMO's, Specified Pools, Agency CMBS (ACMBS), Non-Agency RMBS, CLO's, Investment Grade Corporates and US Government and Agency securities. This role is responsible for deepening strategic client relationships, driving revenue growth, and identifying new business opportunities by delivering market insight, differentiated investment ideas, and coordinated execution support to Fixed Income investors. This role combines deep market expertise, proven leadership, an established client network, and the ability to translate market developments into actionable ideas while partnering closely with trading, syndicate, product, and internal coverage teams.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead client engagement and idea generation across Fixed Income accounts
  • Lead relationship coverage and contribute to team-wide origination and revenue generation
  • Direct client-facing materials, including market updates, trade ideas, portfolio reviews, and presentations
  • Monitor market trends, issuance activity, and investor demand to inform strategy and recommendations
  • Serve as a senior product expert across fixed income sectors and coordinate with trading and syndicate partners
  • Mentor and develop junior colleagues while reinforcing a culture of excellence and continuous development
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver solutions, support execution, and optimize profitability
  • Contribute to sales strategy, compliance standards, and desk procedures
  • Prepare management reporting on pipeline activity, client trends, and market developments
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 12+ years experience leading and executing traded products in Capital Markets
  • FINRA Series 7, 63

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong client-facing and relationship management skills
  • Proven experience generating 1 mm+ gross revenue production in a Fixed Income Broker dealer environment
  • Deep understanding of industry trends, regulatory frameworks, and capital markets products
  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build trusted relationships
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and a client-centric mindset
  • Adaptability to change and resourcefulness in navigating constraints to deliver results
