Overview

Our team of doctors, advanced care providers, nurses, therapists, and researchers provides the region's most advanced medicine at multiple facilities, campuses, clinics, and classrooms. We offer patients convenient access to innovative treatments and advancements that improve the health and overall well-being of our community.


Responsibilities
  • Abides by and enforces all compliance requirements and policies and performs these responsibilities in an ethical manner consistent with the organization's values.
  • Adheres to university and hospital policies including confidentiality and HIPAA.
  • Works directly with the Senior Director regarding technology strategies, budget requirements, and adherence to IT procedures.
  • Maintain a strong technical understanding of all current and future IT systems. This includes, but is not limited to Oracle Cerner, Dell, BioMedical equipment, and AV equipment.
  • Establishes effective working relationships with leaders and managers inside and outside IT. The director will establish routine meetings with leaders in these areas to report the status of projects, identify new work, seek ways in which IT can help innovate their operations, and to the needs and issues occurring in those departments.
  • Attends hospital and ambulatory meetings to stay informed on events occurring in the clinical setting.
  • Demonstrates project management skills in the areas of planning, resourcing, communications, issue management, risk management, and budgeting.
  • Works with Senior Director to create and maintain strategic plans for Help Desk, Desktop Field Services, AV, BioMed, and IT Procurement.
  • Oversees the evaluations, training, and development of staff and direct report managers. Assists Senior Director with hiring and staffing decisions.
  • Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
  • Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
  • Regular and prompt attendance
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
  • Related duties as assigned

Additional Information

Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.

  • Master's Degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field and 3 years of directly related experience, 1 year of which was in a managerial capacity Required OR
  • Bachelor's Degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field and 4 years of directly related experience, 1 year of which was in a managerial capacity Required
  • Directly related experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education Preferred
  • Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
