Job description

Description:

Construction Manager (Microwave Projects)

Location: Dallas–Fort Worth, TX (Regional Travel Required)

Company: Tower Communications Expert (TCE)

About Us

At TCE, we design, build, and maintain the backbone of America’s wireless networks. We specialize in tower construction, upgrades, and microwave transmission projects for major carriers. We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager (CM) – Microwave to oversee multi-crew deployments, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with TCE’s uncompromising focus on safety and quality.

Position Overview

The Microwave Construction Manager will be responsible for managing multiple crews, subcontractors, and projects across the region. This role is both strategic and field-oriented — ensuring planning, scheduling, and execution align with customer expectations and TCE’s standards.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage multiple microwave/tower crews across several projects simultaneously.
  • Oversee installation, upgrades, relocations, and backhaul integrations for UMTS, LTE, and 5G systems.
  • Attend and lead bid walks, create scopes of work (SOWs), and manage subcontractor contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and TCE safety standards across all crews.
  • Partner with Project Managers and clients to provide progress updates, resolve issues, and maintain quality standards.
  • Track budgets, schedules, and closeout packages to ensure profitable, timely completion.
  • Provide coaching and development for Foremen, Top Hands, and Technicians to build a strong pipeline of leaders.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in wireless/tower/microwave construction.
  • Proven leadership managing multiple crews and subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of microwave systems, tower construction, and carrier standards.
  • OSHA 30 required (or ability to obtain).
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel regionally and respond to emergency deployments.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Range: $90,000–$120,000/year (commensurate with experience).
  • Performance bonuses tied to project completion and safety metrics.
  • Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401k).
  • Career advancement opportunities within TCE’s leadership structure.
