Job description

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for performing all general warehouse duties such as fork truck operation, loading, unloading, stock rotation, stacking empties, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure loads are built and loaded accurately in a timely manner. Load and unload delivery trucks and ensure proper stock rotation in the warehouse on the trucks.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with the Anheuser-Busch Amended Equity Agreement (AEA), as it pertains to warehousing and product handling standards and requirements.
  • Maintain proper rotation and shipments of all products.
  • Change fork truck batteries and responsible for keeping out of service batteries charged.
  • Responsible for sorting and preparing empties for return and shipment to suppliers.
  • Required to make deliveries as either a driver or helper as needed.
  • Abides by all company policies, procedures and standards operating practices.
  • Maintain compliance with all D.O.T. regulations as well as D.A.B.C.C. regulations.
  • Obtains daily work assignments from the Operations Managers.
  • Maintains delivery paperwork in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Responsible for pickup and delivery of product to/from customer locations.
  • Must place product where required by customer.
  • Works under general supervision with a certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Maintains communication with warehouse and operation manager(s).
  • Expected to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Performs all additional duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively and effectively with various types of people.
  • Strong internal and external communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks and time to ensure completion of all daily projects.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Valid class D driver's license and driving record that meets with company guidelines.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
Language Skills:
Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate using the English Language. The ability to read, prepare, analyze and interpret instructions for merchandise displays. Must be able to communicate information and respond to questions (verbally and in written form) effectively with customers, company personnel, and suppliers.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding, interpret and carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. The ability to prioritize responsibilities and work effectively while dealing with a variety of requests throughout the day as well as the ability to recognize and solve customer problems that are related to the delivery and pick up of product.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb ladders and bend for extensive periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to maneuver in high, low, and tight areas. The job requires the use of hands, (to finger, handle, or feel) specifically for, but not limited to moving, loading and unloading product in and out of trucks. The employee must lift and/or move or push/pull up to 165 pounds. Must be able to maneuver up to 250 pounds with the use of a two-wheel dolly effectively. Specific vision and ability to adjust focus. Hearing and speech are also required communication skills.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and typical of a warehouse environment. Exposure to extreme temperatures, fumes, dusty conditions, outside weather conditions, including wet/and or humid conditions, and machinery with moving parts.
