Warehouse Driver

Power Line Supply is seeking to hire a full-time Warehouse Driver to join our growing team!

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct inspections of vehicles and trailers at the beginning and end of each shift and report any problems or damage to your supervisor as well as appropriately logging using the company supplied method
  • Conduct inspections of vehicles and trailers before departing to deliver goods and report any problems or damage to your supervisor
  • Proficient with electronic driver logs and reports
  • Comply with DOT regulations and Company safety policies, rules and regulations
  • Pack and load products securely onto trucks according to company's specifications
  • Operate heavy machinery including Rough Terrain Forklifts, Forklifts
  • Deliver orders timely to customers on assigned routes
  • Maintain ongoing communication with route dispatcher
  • Unload goods as per client specifications
  • Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs
  • Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer and review deliveries with customers to ensure products meets their needs as required
  • Report any instance of mishap or accident to the supervisor and/or incident reporting hotline
  • Be proficient in use of PLS' P21 ERP system.
  • Acts as a representative of Power Line Supply Company in the community.
  • Acts within the letter and spirit of the laws of the United States, the States and municipalities in which The Power Line Supply Company operates.
  • Ensure your availability to respond to Storm or Emergency work that may occur from time to time for proper support of customer's needs.
  • Performs any other related or unrelated, unassigned, unspecified, unusual or special duty the Warehouse Supervisor may assign from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Valid Medical Certificate
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as Commercial Driver
  • Clean driving record
  • Safety conscious
  • Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal driving rules and regulations
  • Flexible Schedule
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
  • Physical Strength: work frequently includes loading/unloading materials/equipment

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 7:00AM - 3:30PM
  • Overtime when available
