Job description

Overview

For over 70 years, MKS has been a recognized leader in the industrial Pipe, Valve and Fitting (PVF) industry and has received numerous awards for product expertise, professionalism, and customer service. Providing industrial pipe, valves and fittings is our core business but the real value we offer is through responsive service, accurate deliveries and a knowledgeable staff passionate about supplying what our customers need when they need it.

The Driver/Fulfillment Team Member performs an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. Loading and unloading trucks, picking up and delivering material in trucks that range from tons to 2 tons.

Responsibilities
  • Pre-Trip inspections of the truck that you will be operating that day.  This includes checking all fluids, tires, cab, bed of truck, straps, lights etc.
  • Able to operate a forklift to assist in loading and unloading material on and off a commercial truck.
  • Physical ability to climb up and down the bed of a flatbed truck to strap material down while using a metal winch bar.
  • Maintain a safe and clean truck by keeping material out of the cab and off the bed of the truck while also doing periodic cleaning of the inside and outside of the truck.
  • Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
  • Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
  • Open pallets, crates and other containers
  • Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and documenting via the designated channels.  May also assist in counting of physical inventory
  • Prepare material for shipping via boxes or pallets.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; Sweep, and free of debris.  Always organize warehouse and work area for orderliness
  • Wear the proper safety equipment
Qualifications

Qualification requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 yrs previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills
  • Dependable and Reliable
  • Class B CDL with air brake endorsements preferred
  • Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required

Physical demands and abilities

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-75lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
  • Able to drive and stay in a truck upwards of 8 hours per day depending on the trip.
  • Able to climb up and down the bed of the truck that is upwards of 4' off the ground multiple times per day.
