Job description

TN Visa Opportunity In Animal Science

Great opportunity for professionals with an Animal Science, Agriculture, or a closely related Bachelor's degree interested in working in the U.S. on a TN Visa. Only citizens of Canada and Mexico are eligible for the TN Visa program.

- Spend time actively contributing to livestock procurement/marketing/logistics, production, animal science and health including; receiving and shipping commodities, feed ration formulation and the impact on health and performance, treating and monitoring sick animals, become familiar and find areas to improve treatment protocols, perform necropsies, processes cattle on arrival & rehandle and assist veterinarians.

- Completely understand the importance of delivering an effective animal production, science & health program by implementing an effective and efficient plan, coordinating all logistics, and implementing inventory management protocols (with support from Veterinarian and Management Team).

- Support research trial efforts, developing/revising written standard operating protocols and assisting in the implementation and/or documentation of any new management or production strategies (with support from Veterinarian and Management Team).

- Implement quality control measures to ensure consistency in the animal production and health program (with support from Veterinarian and Management Team).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree and Cedula.
  • Min. 6 months of experience performing Cattle Production, Animal Health, & Animal Science skills at a Ranch or Feedlot.
  • Mechanical inclination and experience in driving agricultural equipment (tractors and loaders) are preferred.
