The Marketing Risk Management Team establishes the risk management strategy for the Marketing enterprise while making it easier to execute against its priorities. Included in that organization are the Marketing Risk Operations, Service & Regulatory Communications, and Centralized S24 Teams. As Schwab continues to grow to serve more clients and their unique investing needs, fostering a culture of proactive risk management is more important than ever. The Manager - Marketing Risk Management Centralized S24 will support the Marketing enterprise, ensuring their communications with the public comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal standards. This individual will work with others in the Centralized S24 Team, as well as Marketing partners, Product, Compliance, Legal, and other business unit subject matter experts across the company. Ideal candidates possess knowledge of Schwab products, offers, services, and the unique risks associated with them, as well as excellent people skills.

Required Qualifications:
  • Education: BS/BA degree or equivalent
  • Professional Licensing: Series 7/24 required
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience supporting communication or advertising reviews, risk management and S24 responsibilities
  • Understanding of the regulatory submission and review processes
  • Ability to make sound, timely and risk-based decisions through creative solutions to remove barriers, while considering supervisory and regulatory expectations and business needs
  • Ability to balance rules and regulations around reviews against business growth and communication objectives
  • Experience working collaboratively with various groups with potentially disparate objectives
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of disclosures, regulatory expectations, interpreting regulatory guidance, and assessing risk

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication demonstrating ability to effectively communicate/clearly articulate risks and testing results to leadership and key stakeholders
  • A highly collaborative working style effectively establishing trust and respect
