Description
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Analyst - Catering Data Administration is responsible for the governance, accuracy, integrity, and timely maintenance of catering data, system configurations, and supporting resources within United's technology platforms that enable catering operations across the network. This role serves as a critical liaison between operational and business stakeholders by ensuring the availability of reliable, accurate, and current data required to support the successful execution of catering services systemwide. The position is accountable for the development and maintenance of hierarchical data structures, business rules, and system codes that support operational planning, service delivery, reporting, and supplier payment processes. Additionally, the Senior Analyst oversees system administration, documentation, compliance requirements, and data quality initiatives while partnering with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, data integrity, and business performance.
  • Manage and maintain menu specification data within United's catering management systems, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of information used to support catering operations. Ensure data is maintained in accordance with established business standards and provide reliable information that enables effective operational planning, service delivery, and execution of catering programs across the network.
  • Lead end-to-end projects independently by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements, establish effective processes, resolve business gaps, and implement solutions that drive operational efficiency and support strategic business objectives.
  • Conduct data quality audits to identify, analyze, and remediate inaccuracies and inconsistencies within system data. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve root causes, implement sustainable corrective measures, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
  • Manage the resolution of system-related issues by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify root causes, coordinate corrective actions, and monitor progress through resolution. Execute flight regeneration activities within the catering management system as required to ensure operational accuracy and continuity.

Note: This is a Chicago-based hybrid role with in-office requirements 50% of the time. This role will also travel up to 30% of the time (domestic and international).
Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration or similar discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in data entry, clerical support, and process execution and development, supporting large teams, systems, and operations
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong data management and organizational skills
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with remote and international teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • Demonstrates an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of generative AI tools and effectively leverages them to support research, analysis, content creation, and problem-solving.
