EMR USA is seeking a driven and ambitious Manager Trainee to join our Houston team. This is a hands-on leadership development role designed to build future operations leaders in the metal recycling industry.

What You'll Do
Operations & Team Leadership
  • Lead, supervise, and support a diverse team of operators, technicians, and staff
  • Foster a safe, productive, and collaborative work environment

Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce strict safety standards and conduct regular inspections
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements

Equipment & Facility Management
  • Oversee preventative maintenance and equipment repairs

Quality & Inventory Control

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in operations or industrial environments (recycling/waste management a plus)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
  • Knowledge of safety standards and industrial best practices
  • Familiarity with logistics, maintenance, and inventory systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Work Environment
This is a physically active, outdoor role in an industrial setting. You will:
  • Work in varying weather conditions
  • Be exposed to machinery and high noise levels (hearing protection required)
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Occasionally work in confined spaces
