Job description

Tenaska Marketing Ventures (TMV) is seeking a highly analytical and commercially driven Market Fundamentals Analyst to serve as a central link between market fundamentals, trading strategy, and commercial execution across regional markets. This role operates at the intersection of data, market intelligence, and decision-making, translating complex regional dynamics into clear, actionable insights that directly influence trading decisions, storage strategy, and broader commercial outcomes. As a highly cross-functional partner to Trading, Commercial, and operations teams, this individual will act as a force multiplier for traders and originators by enhancing the quality, speed, and confidence of market decisions.

In this execution-oriented and market focused role, the Analyst will develop and maintain regional market intelligence across supply, demand, infrastructure, pricing dynamics, and customer behavior. This includes building structured analytical frameworks such as customer performance scorecards and converting market and customer intelligence into decision-ready insights that enhance pricing, positioning, and asset optimization. The role plays a critical part in shaping how TMV understands market behavior and ensuring that this understanding is operationalized in real time to improve commercial and trading outcomes.

This position is designed for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-impact environments and is motivated by direct influence on commercial outcomes. It plays a key role in scaling analytical leverage across regional markets and strengthening how TMV anticipates, interprets, and responds to evolving market conditions. The ideal candidate combines strong quantitative and analytical skills with a proactive, commercially driven mindset, and the ability to quickly develop deep understanding of energy markets and translate data into meaningful competitive advantage.

Location: Onsite in Denver, CO
