We are seeking a Senior Manager, Tax Technology Change & Enablement to support the execution, adoption, and standardization of tax technology and process improvement initiatives across the Tax Business Unit within our local offices. This role is executionfocused and will serve as a key liaison between tax teams, tax quality and risk management, tax operations, and automation stakeholders. This role will serve as the key lead on change management, training, and field deployment within the tax business unit with responsibility for supervising workstreams, guiding adoption, and supporting firmwide tax priorities.

This role involves significant travel and offers a unique opportunity for growth within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial firm that thinks differently and is investing in cutting-edge technology and automation for the future. The role works closely with local offices and leadership to deploy training methodologies and best practices across the firm.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support tax technology and automation initiatives through change management, training, and adoption execution.

  • Execute and coordinate the Tax Change Management program, including deployment, scheduling, and ongoing support.

  • Partner with Tax Operations, Q2C, Resource Management, and tax teams to support priority initiatives.

  • Develop, maintain, and socialize tax standardization playbooks and best practices.

  • Design and deliver training for new tax tools, automated workflows, and standardized processes. Work with tax vendors on training curriculum and plans to develop an effective curriculum tailored to different levels in the tax practice.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for end users during rollouts, adoption, and stabilization. Lead our local tax change management program and socialize and resolve issues and conflicts with tax leadership.

  • Monitor adoption and usage; provide feedback and recommendations to leadership for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting tax; Big 4 preferred

  • Experience supporting process improvement, standardization, or automation initiatives

  • Solid understanding of tax compliance and reporting processes

  • Working knowledge of tax software and automation tools (e.g., RPA, AI, data analytics)

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience supporting change and adoption

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 80%

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, other professional certification, or advanced degree (e.g., MST, JD, MBA)

  • Experience working with IT, engineering, or technology teams on tax initiatives

  • Familiarity with project coordination tools or methodologies

  • Background in tax training, tax quality, tax operations, or tax transformation

  • Experience with tax and analytics platforms such as CCH Access, GoSystems, Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate), Alteryx, Tableau, and advanced Excel; programming exposure a plus

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. For Northern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $164,900-$224,700. For Southern California, Washington, Illinois and New York residents, the compensation range for this position: $157,800-$215,000. For Colorado residents, the compensation for this position: $143,500-$195,400. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location. Eligible employees at certain levels can participate in a discretionary long-term financial incentive plan, subject to plan participation rules.
