Job description

Our client, a leading specialty petrochemical company in Alabama, is seeking a Corporate Health & Safety Manager to lead enterprise-wide safety strategy, governance, and program execution across multiple facilities. This role partners with executive and site leadership to strengthen safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and reduce operational risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development and standardization of corporate H&S policies, procedures, and management systems
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and NFPA regulations across all operations
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to site safety teams
  • Lead incident investigations using root cause methodologies (TapRooT, Five Why, Cause Mapping)
  • Analyze safety metrics (TRIR, DART, near misses) and deliver executive-level reporting
  • Oversee safety training standards and contractor safety programs
  • Conduct audits, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement across sites

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of H&S experience in refining, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments
  • Multi-site safety program oversight experience
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management
  • CSP or CIH highly preferred
