Systems Engineer

On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a Systems Engineer for a permanent opportunity in Foothill Ranch, California.

Systems Engineer Job Details

The System Engineer will provide technical support to new and existing customers in their efforts to successfully integrate the company's currency handling device and/or palm vein scanner device into the target product and network/software application.

Responsibilities include:

  • Technical support to sales team throughout the Americas
  • Supporting major sales initiatives by attending client meetings and monitor client project status.
  • Supporting customer technical Q&A and issues via phone, email, on-site
  • Troubleshoot and replicate problems reported on device hardware and or software platforms (including 3rd party software installations and network/server connect infrastructure).
  • Work as the technical interface liaison to overseas operation for detailed description of technical issues to ensure proper understanding by the product owner/engineering design team. Continue to track and support all issues to insure complete resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain technical training documents. Conduct technical training for customers and partners to include device theory of operations, software interface, troubleshooting, high level repair, preventative maintenance and general care of product.
  • Work closely with local Product Management in the life cycle management of the product/device.
  • Adhere to company policies, ISO requirements, 5S, safety, and quality workmanship
  • Customarily and regularly exercises independent discretion and judgment.

Systems Engineer Mandatory Skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science from an accredited college/university; or 5 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS    

Demonstrate ability to read, comprehend, and respond appropriately through written or verbal form when required; ability to demonstrate tactfulness when communicating, to include internal communication with staff members of all levels; ability to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences; ability to analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Spanish speaking is a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS 

Demonstrate ability to effectively use computer and applicable computer software. Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, Adobe, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.

TRAVEL

The Systems Engineer must be able and willing to travel (up to 30%) meeting and supporting customers and potential customers as required, both domestically and internationally. Willing to travel by plane to locations in other states/countries.
