Job description

Join STEMBoard, a team dedicated to solving complex challenges for critical national missions. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to deliver innovative solutions and make a tangible impact!
The Systems Administrator provides technical support for Information Technology and Information Systems operations supporting the West Desert Test Center (WDTC). This individual installs, configures, secures, maintains, and troubleshoots systems while ensuring compliance with DoD Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Requirements Guides (SRGs), cybersecurity requirements, and Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain IT and Information Systems.
  • Configure systems in accordance with DoD SRGs, STIGs, and cybersecurity policies.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and security.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues supporting WDTC operations.
  • Maintain system documentation and configuration records in accordance with Configuration Control Board (CCB) requirements.
  • Support Information Assurance and cybersecurity compliance activities.
  • Perform system updates, patch management, backups, and recovery operations.
  • Support IT logistics, system implementation, testing, and operational readiness.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Must possess and maintain a current Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level I certification throughout contract performance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within the past 10 years serving as a Systems Administrator.
  • Experience administering Windows and/or Linux environments.
  • Experience supporting secure DoD Information Systems and applying STIGs/SRGs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and system administration skills.

Preferred Certifications:
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
