Job description

Industrial Awning Assembly Specialist

Full-Time — Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM. Friday off (overtime as needed).

Your impact
  • Translate drawings and measurements into precise fabric layouts.
  • Run industrial sewing equipment to sew, hem, reinforce, and assemble panels.
  • Finish products with grommets, zippers, keder, and valances.
  • Team up on aluminum and steel framework assembly.
  • Stretch and secure fabric to frames for a tight, professional fit.
  • Inspect final assemblies for quality and fit; test moving components.
  • Stage hardware, brackets, and complete installation kits for field crews.
  • Assist with site measurements and complex installs when required.
Bring these skills Required
  • 1+ year (preferred) in sewing, fabrication, manufacturing, upholstery, canvas, or similar
  • Accurate measuring and layout skills; strong attention to detail
  • Mechanical aptitude; fluent with hand tools and basic fabrication equipment
  • Ability to read drawings and follow detailed work instructions
Preferred
  • Industrial sewing background
  • Experience with awnings, marine, upholstery, canvas, vinyl, or shade solutions
  • Knowledge of Sunbrella, PVC, acrylic, or coated fabrics
  • Use of grommet presses, fabric welders, or related tools
