Job description

Overview

About the team: Turo is entering an exciting new chapter of growth in the US, and we are looking for a Marketplace Strategy & Operations Manager to increase the leverage of our Marketplace Management and US business teams. This role combines analytical capability with strong program execution. You will serve as a centralized operator who converts data into action, running end-to-end initiatives and providing the diagnostics needed to drive performance across our regional markets.

Responsibilities
  • Market Diagnostics & Analytics: Pull and manipulate data to identify drivers of underperformance and size new opportunities. Responsible for market-level insights and supporting the creation and evolution of the Weekly Business Review (WBR).
  • Program Execution: Run discrete initiatives end-to-end, moving from analysis to planning, execution, and measurement. Coordinate with cross-functional partners to ensure follow-through and impact on key business priorities.
  • Insight Generation & Recommendation: Build structured narratives and clear recommendations for regional leadership. Support the team by framing problems, modeling tradeoffs, and preparing leadership-ready materials.
  • Scalable Central Tooling: Build simple shared tools, templates, and playbooks to reduce duplication across regions. Convert regional wins into scalable processes that can be deployed across the US.
  • Strategic Partnership: Serve as an analytical and strategic partner to regional teams, offloading synthesis tasks so GMs can focus on higher-order strategy.
Your profile
  • 5 - 7+ years of relevant experience (or 3 years + Masterโ€™s degree) in strategy, operations, analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong Analytical Toolkit: Advanced fluency in Google Sheets/Excel and SQL required.
  • Structured Thinking: Ability to break down ambiguous problems into actionable plans and guide others to clarity.
  • Execution Oriented: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects independently, from problem identification through to execution.
  • Communication: Skilled in building structured narratives and presentations; able to translate complex data into clear recommendations for leadership.
  • Commercial Acumen: Understanding of how strategic decisions influence the P&L, growth levers, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across functions and influence stakeholders without direct authority. Demonstrates Turoโ€™s values through work product and day-to-day team interactions.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range for San Francisco: $136,000 - $170,000 annually. Eligible for equity and benefits. Pay is determined by market ranges and individual factors.
