Overview
The Senior Manager, Strategic Talent & Workforce Initiatives serve as a strategic partner to HR and business leaders to shape Catalyst Brands stores talent strategies through data-driven insights, talent intelligence, workforce analytics, and talent review outcomes to address current and future business needs.
This role partners closely with HR leaders and business executives to identify talent risks, optimize workforce capacity, enhance succession pipelines, and drive data-informed talent decisions.
The position serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership by translating workforce data into actionable insights that improve talent outcomes, organizational effectiveness, and business performance.
Responsibilities
Talent Strategy & Talent Management
• Lead the design and execution of stores organization talent management initiatives aligned to business objectives.
• Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to identify critical talent risks, capability gaps, and succession opportunities.
• Drive talent assessment, succession planning, and leadership pipeline strategies.
• Support development of high-potential talent programs and talent acceleration initiatives.
• Evaluate organizational talent health and recommend strategies to improve bench strength and leadership readiness.
Talent Reviews & Succession Planning
• Support talent review processes across assigned business units.
• Develop data-driven talent insights to support discussions regarding performance, potential, readiness, retention risk, and succession planning.
• Prepare executive talent review materials and presentations for senior leadership teams.
• Monitor succession health metrics and leadership pipeline effectiveness.
Workforce Analytics & People Insights
• Develop and deliver workforce analytics that support strategic talent and organizational decisions.
• Analyze trends related to turnover, retention, engagement, internal mobility, workforce demographics, and talent movement.
• Identify emerging workforce risks and opportunities through predictive and diagnostic analytics.
• Translate complex data into executive-level recommendations and actionable business insights.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in people analytics and workforce intelligence.
Workforce Planning & Capacity Modeling
• Develop workforce forecasting models to support growth plans, labor optimization, and organizational design initiatives.
• Evaluate organizational structures and workforce effectiveness to ensure alignment with business strategy.
Strategic Initiatives & Organizational Effectiveness
• Support organizational transformation, restructuring, and change management efforts through workforce analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve talent processes, reporting capabilities, and decision-making frameworks.
• Establish key workforce metrics and dashboards that support strategic planning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing organizational effectiveness.
Executive Reporting & Dashboard Development
• Develop executive dashboards and scorecards providing visibility into workforce trends and talent outcomes.
• Present workforce insights and strategic recommendations to senior leaders and executive teams.
• Create automated reporting solutions that improve efficiency and decision-making capabilities.
• Ensure reporting consistency, data integrity, and governance standards across HR data sources.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Analytics, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in Talent Management, HR Strategy, Workforce Planning, People Analytics, HR Business Partnering, or Organizational Effectiveness.
• Experience leading talent review and succession planning processes.
• Experience creating workforce dashboards and executive-level reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
• Ability to influence leaders and drive business outcomes through data-driven recommendations.
