Job description

Job Title: Project Manager โ€“ Steel Erection

Location: Cleveland, Ohio (On-site only)

Salary: $90,000 โ€“ $110,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits


Our client is a well-established structural steel contractor with decades of experience delivering commercial, institutional and industrial construction projects across Ohio. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee structural steel erection and fabrication projects from award through completion.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected business with a strong reputation for safety, quality and customer service, working on large-scale and high-profile construction projects.


Day to Day

  • Manage multiple structural steel erection and fabrication projects simultaneously.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, contracts and budgets.
  • Coordinate equipment, materials, subcontractors and field operations.
  • Set up and manage projects using project management software.
  • Prepare purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
  • Meet regularly with clients, vendors and operations teams.
  • Monitor project costs, productivity, financial forecasts and cash flow.
  • Assist with project billing and reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard.


Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Commercial Construction Project Manager.
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
  • Structural steel project management experience preferred but not essential.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred (relevant industry experience will also be considered).
  • Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience using Bluebeam and Microsoft Office (On-Screen Takeoff experience is advantageous).
  • Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer relationship management skills.
