Job description

Experienced Construction Estimator needed for Steel Contractor doing structural and miscellaneous steel for various commercial and industrial projects, government contracts, high-rise buildings, apartment complexes, restaurants, and sports fields.

This is a full-time salaried position with benefits.


THIS IS AN IN-HOUSE POSITION, NOT A REMOTE POSITION


Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and compile cost data to ensure a high-quality bid

Produce detailed bids using company specific format that clearly identifies project scope and includes accurate materials, shop and field labor

Develop competitive bids using Tekla/PowerFabsoftware

Review bids with project managers and perform project hand-offs that convey scope

Key Skills:

Strong Computer skills with the ability to use or learn Tekla/PowerFabsoftware

Experience with structural steel and miscellaneous metals

Fluent in both Architectural and Structural bid documents

Highly organized with the ability to communicate information in a clear and precise manner

A person with the drive to build relationships and sell the job after the bid
 Detail-oriented with solid time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
 Ability to work independently
Demonstrated ability to manage and balance multiple projects
 Knowledge of AISC and AWS Standards
