  • Hands-on Warehouse Manager for a growing food & beverage manufacturer
  • Working leadership role: set the standard, build the systems, develop the team and get on the floor when needed
  • Ideal candidate is technically capable, process-driven, coachable, and willing to change

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, receiving, put away, inventory, staging, picking, and shipping, across multiple locations
  • Build, document, and enforce SOPs for core warehouse processes and hold the team accountable to them
  • Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts and periodic audits, using NetSuite as the system of record

  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean / Six Sigma to reduce waste, improve flow, and increase throughput
  • Organize warehouse space and material flow to maximize space utilization and efficiency
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with production, planning, and logistics to meet customer demand
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure it is safe and operational
  • Actively work alongside the team on the floor as needed (moving pallets, supporting receiving/shipping, etc.)

Logistics & Load Optimization

  • Optimize truck/trailer loading for weight balance axle weights and stay within legal gross weight limits
  • Build pallet patterns / configurations (TI-HI) that maximize cube and protect product in transit
  • Plan loads to maximize trailer cube utilization and minimize freight cost
  • Stage and sequence outbound loads for efficient dock flow and on-time shipping
  • Manage dock scheduling and gate/check-in–check-out processes

Food Safety, Sanitation & GMPs

  • Maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and general warehouse sanitation standards
  • Enforce clean-as-you-go practices on the floor
  • Maintain a Master Sanitation Schedule and verify completion
  • Manage FIFO / FEFO stock rotation and date-code control to prevent expired or aged product

  • Keep the operation audit-ready for FDA / FSMA and GFSI-type standards (SQF, BRC)
  • Maintain temperature/cold-chain control where applicable

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of warehouse or operations experience, preferably with supervisory experience
  • Fluent in Spanish, the warehouse team is Spanish-speaking; clear day-to-day communication is essential

  • Experience creating and maintaining SOPs and holding a team to defined expectations
  • Familiarity with warehouse sanitation and GMP standards
  • Continuous-improvement mindset with exposure to Lean Six Sigma or similar methods
  • Coachable, adaptable, and comfortable in a growing organization where processes are still maturing
  • Willing and able to actively work in the warehouse, including lifting and physical activity as needed
  • Able to manage operations across multiple sites ranging from ~20,000 to 100,000 sq ft

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to a TMS (Transportation Management System) or other logistics/process-improvement tools
  • WMS experience is required, implementation preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (any belt level)
  • Experience helping mature, standardize, or scale a warehouse operation as a company grows: a plus, not a requirement
  • College degree in operations, supply chain, business, engineering, or related field preferred
