About the Team

This role sits within the Partnerships team and reports to the Manager, Sports Marketing. While the Manager, Sports Marketing owns partnership strategy and athlete/team relationships, this role owns the marketing calendar itself โ€” building the marketing plan for each partnership and executing it in coordination with Creative, Social/Content, Digital, PR, Retail, and Legal.

What We Are Looking For

We're looking for a Sports & Athlete Marketing Project Manager to build and run Just Ingredients' sports and athlete marketing campaigns. This role takes each athlete and team partnership and turns it into an actual marketing campaign โ€” developing the concept, messaging, and channel plan, then owning the day-to-day project management and working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to get it delivered on time, on brand, and on budget.

What Youโ€™ll DoMarketing Planning
  • Develop the marketing strategy, calendar, messaging, and channel plan for each athlete and team partnership, translating partnership goals into an actionable campaign.
  • Write campaign briefs outlining creative direction, content needs, channels, and timing for Creative, Social/Content, Digital, and other execution partners.
  • Design the campaign approach across social, email, and retail channels to maximize brand exposure for each athlete and team.
Campaign Execution & Project Management
  • Build and maintain production schedules for every athlete and team campaign, tracking each deliverable from concept through launch.
  • Coordinate asset collection and content deadlines directly with athletes, teams, and their representatives, ensuring deliverables arrive on time and meet brand and usage guidelines.
  • Manage day-to-day execution of ad campaigns across social, email, and retail channels, ensuring campaigns launch on schedule and as planned.
  • Identify and resolve execution bottlenecks in real time, keeping campaigns on track and stakeholders informed of status.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Partner with Creative and Social/Content to keep production on schedule and ensure campaign assets are delivered on time.
  • Coordinate with Retail and Sales to align campaign execution timing with in-store activations, endcaps, and promotional windows.
  • Partner with PR to slot athlete- and team-driven media opportunities into the broader campaign execution calendar.
Tracking & Reporting
  • Maintain a master execution tracker across all active athlete and team campaigns, providing regular status updates to the Manager, Sports Marketing.
  • Track campaign spend against approved budget and flag variances early.
  • Compile post-campaign recaps summarizing what launched, on-time performance, and execution learnings for future campaigns.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Medical, Dental, Life Insurance
  • 401K with company matching
  • 4 weeks accrued PTO
  • Employee discounts
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Purposeful mission for health and wellness
Qualifications
  • 5โ€“7+ years of experience building and running marketing campaigns โ€” from concept and brief through execution โ€” ideally in sports, CPG, or consumer marketing.
  • Strong campaign planning skills; able to translate a partnership or brand goal into a clear campaign concept, messaging approach, and channel plan.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience running multiple concurrent campaign timelines and deliverables.
  • Experience coordinating directly with external partners or talent (and their representatives) to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with project tracking tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, or similar).
  • Comfortable managing details and holding cross-functional partners accountable to deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience tracking budgets against a plan and flagging variances.
  • Experience in sports marketing, athlete partnerships, or influencer marketing a plus.
  • Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally across Creative, Social, PR, Retail, and Legal.
