Job description

Job Description Join a high-growth organisation at the forefront of hyper-scale data center construction, delivering mission-critical power infrastructure for global technology clients. This is a chance to apply your electrical engineering expertise on complex, large-scale projects where reliability, resilience, and innovation are paramount. About the Role: You will be responsible for developing, analysing, and optimising electrical power systems for hyper-scale data center projects from concept through commissioning.

Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure that all electrical designs meet stringent performance, safety, and compliance standards. Your work will directly support the delivery of highly available, energy-efficient facilities that underpin major digital and cloud operations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and review electrical power system designs for hyper-scale data centers, including medium- and low-voltage distribution, UPS systems, generators, and switchgear.

Perform detailed power systems analysis, including load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, and arc flash studies using industry-standard software tools. Produce and maintain detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and wiring diagrams to support design, construction, and commissioning. Create and update CAD drawings for electrical layouts, equipment arrangements, and routing in coordination with architectural, structural, and mechanical disciplines.

Support equipment selection and specification, including transformers, switchboards, PDUs, UPS systems, and protective devices to meet project and client requirements. Provide technical support during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and resolving design-related issues in the field. Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and constructability assessments to optimise cost, performance, and reliability of electrical systems.

Assist with commissioning activities, including test plan development, review of test results, and verification that installed systems meet design intent. Key Requirements: Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer working on data centers, industrial facilities, or other complex power-intensive projects. Strong background in power systems analysis, including practical application of load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination studies.

Hands-on experience producing electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and construction drawings for building or industrial projects. Proficiency with CAD drafting tools for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD or similar). Solid understanding of electrical codes and standards relevant to power distribution and building systems (e.g., NEC, IEEE)

Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple design tasks in parallel. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills with attention to detail. Desirable Skills: Experience on hyper-scale or large colocation data center projects.

Familiarity with data center power architectures (e.g., 2N, N+1, distributed redundant) and critical power systems. Exposure to BIM workflows and tools (e.g., Revit) for electrical design. Experience with commissioning processes and integrated systems testing for critical facilities

Knowledge of energy efficiency strategies and reliability considerations in mission-critical environments. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering or eligibility/in-progress status (preferred).

Relevant training or certifications in power systems analysis or data center engineering (preferred). If you are a detail-driven Electrical Engineer who thrives on complex power challenges and wants to contribute to cutting-edge data center projects, apply now to explore this opportunity.
