Overview:

Sentara RMH Medical Center is hiring a Senior Vascular Lab Technologist. This is a full time, day shift position in Harrisonburg, VA. This position does have required call.

Call Schedule: every 4th weekend from 9A to 12P (3 hours)

The Senior Vascular Lab Technologist assists the Team coordinator/Manager/Director with daily operations, coordination of work, quality and service, achievement of operating center goals and objectives, customer satisfaction and in meeting regulatory requirements through providing technical expertise within assigned area. Serves as a technical resource for other team members through participation in quality control and improvement/evaluation activities, staff development activities, and daily support to team members. Assists Team Coordinator/Manager/Director with facilitating and monitoring the work processes of the Peripheral Vascular Lab.

Peripheral Vascular Lab studies:

  • Peripheral arterial duplex and waveform analysis

  • Comprehensive carotid, renal and visceral arterial duplex imaging

  • Venous ultrasound of upper and lower extremities

  • Lower extremity graft surveillance

  • Comprehensive venous insufficiency studies

Education

  • Bachelor level degree preferred

  • 4 years of experience can be used in lieu of Bachelor level degree requirement.

  • High school diploma required, associates or trade school diploma preferred.

Certification/Licensure

  • Registered Vascular Tech (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) required

  • BLS required

Experience

  • 4 years of RVT or RVS experience required.

  • Communication with patients and providers required

  • staff coordination or training experience preferred
